1) Life in Vietnam would be perfect if everyone were totally equal. Do you agree or disagree? Explain your answer in complete sentences.
- I agree because in Vietnam, there is a lot of poor people and some people don't have job. I think some poor people need a job and need to be equal to everyone so rich people won't complain or laugh at the poor people.
2) You are designing a society in which everyone is equal. What are the laws?
- I will take money from whoever makes a lot of money and i will give it to someone who can't make a lot of money.
- Tell smart people to teach someone is not smart, teach them how to do things, how to read, how to work like a normal person.
3) What would you do to help people who were less capable mentally, physically, or socially to “catch up”?
- I will build a house for poor people and some one don't have job so they can study in the house for free and some day, they can catch up. I will tell all the teachers to teach them all the good things and what is wrong, what is right.
4) What problems can you foresee that might come in a society with laws that force “equality for all”? How would you handle those problems?
- I think some people will agree because they want all the people lower than them to be better. They want lower people to go up and work together. Some people will disagree because they don't want to be equal to poor people or lower than them because they want to be freedom and if they are equal, it's not normal and they won't have freedom.
5) Do you believe that total equality is possible, or would human nature make sure that some people would eventually dominate others?
- It's impossible to have an total equality because if one person is really really rich, and the government tells them to buy and donate everything to help the country. But all the people still know that person is really rich and they rich because nature makes them rich already.
6) In what situations have you felt similarly to any of the characters? What persons, places, or ideas from your own experience came to mind while you were reading this story? Try to list as least two examples.
- The story is reminding me of North Korea because the citizens live under the rule of the government.

Family Tree
I learned many things from my friends' presentations about their cultures. I learned from Sarah like their traditional and clothes. She taught us the way to bow when we met older people. David talked about the food from Czech, the name was strudel or something and the important thing was he makes it by his-self. Lisa's presentation was awesome because she made a book by her self and she put all the pictures when she was young into the book. That was awesome and really cool way to present. I enjoyed all the presentations and they all did awesome.
